My husband was sent to A&E from our GP surgery as a precaution as he had chest pain. The team on duty that day were wonderful, He seen very promptly and quickly assessed as having a heart attack. Everything was taken care of, my husband was transferred to Papworth by ambulance and paramedic and his team even arranged to look after our car in the car park so that I could go with my husband. I can never thank everyone enough for their great skill and kindness on that day. After an emergency procedure and short spell in Papworth we returned to Bedford for the cardiac rehab programme which was outstanding. The entire rehab team were absolutely brilliant, so very supportive and helpful in achieving a good recovery. We both learned so much and have continued to attend a local cardiac exercise group. Every day the staff of this amazing place rise to the challenge of delivering the highest standards of care in ageing buildings. Our warmest thanks to you all
