What a joke trying to get hold of these people over the phone... I had to get a septoplasty done to correct my nose, now when i was seeing the ENT Dr i had to lodge a formal complaint with the pals team as ENT just didn't bother answering the phone. I called multiple times over the course of a couple days without success. Then after finally getting the scans done and the Dr who originally told me i didn't really have an issue suddenly decided that i needed surgery after seeing the scans. Now on to trying to contact the Surgical team. That took over 3 hours and another complaint to pals before they got somebody to call me back. Took them about 8 weeks before i suddenly got a call out of the blue asking me to come in for my procedure the following week or else i would have to wait another few months. Ok so the surgery itself was fine, all went through smoothly. Now on to recovery. It has been 3 weeks since i had the op and i still have plastic splints up my nose, according to all online sources i have seen they should have been removed a week post surgery. So today i tried to contact the Surgical team to query this, What do you think happened? i have just been bounced around their phone system again until someone just disconnected my call. How the hell are you supposed to actually find anything out when all the receptionists are surly and can't be bothered to answer the phone? I will be contacting Pals again to voice my grievances In short in terms of Medical care they are adequate but in terms of everything else i would highly recommend not using Whipps Cross as they apparently have no idea how to deal with people
