"I felt supported and valued by the therapist"

About: Inclusion Matters Liverpool

(as a service user),

I have suffered from OCD for over 30 years and had many forms of therapy to help me manage the condition. I recently had a second attempt at CBT with a counsellor called Marcia, I found this very helpful.

Marcia was very empathetic, had a good understanding of OCD and was able to advise me on breathing and mindfulness techniques that have given me the confidence to challenge the condition and help with anxieties.

It took a while for Inclusion Matters to find an experienced therapist to treat me but having found her Marcia has been amazing. As a trained counsellor myself I was sceptical about what Marcia would be able to offer, she was not fazed by my doubts and has been very helpful. I have felt both supported and valued by her.

Dear Sun105

Thank you so much for the feedback. I will ensure that Marcia receives your comments.

It is really rewarding to hear how well you have done and how much the CBT worked for you. After 30 years of living with OCD and having had various therapies for this I understand your scepticism, but am delighted that you decided to attend despite this and found it to be so helpful.

I hope you continue to make progress and that the techniques you have learnt continue to be of use.

Thanks again for taking the time to post this feedback.

Kind regards

Heather
