"Outpatient appointment"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

Anything else?

Not for the first time I have attended an outpatient clinic, arriving in good time, only to be left waiting for 45 minutes and then to hear that the clinic is running at least one hour behind schedule. Because I had to escort a relative to another appointment in Pontefract the same afternoon I had to leave without seeing the consultant and I simply could not wait anly longer without jeapordising another NHS appointment. It is simply not good enough. Not only did I have to take time off work for this appointment I also incurred petrol and parking charges.

We apologise for the delay in clinic and acknowledge the frustration this can cause. We are always pleased to look into such matters if the patient so requires.
