What I liked
Hospital generally: Easy to access by public transport, the shopping mall is quite good with the food in the cafe being nice.
For all the cliches about hospital food, the food on the wards is really nice. The only issue is you're likely to leave hospital having put on weight - two three course meals a day plus whatever you have for breakfast...
I only have experience on the neurosurgical wards but the staff on there are really good - they know their jobs, they work well together and they're really friendly.
The surgical theatre staff are lovely, and there's generally an air of calm competency.
What could be improved
Had a bit of an issue with my discharge notes - there was something wrong on the system and the doctors on the ward couldn't change it themselves. Because of this I had to wait around until someone from the Information department was available. Check your discharge notes before you leave and query anything you don't understand - this is the paperwork your GP will receive and will be inputted into your notes so you want it to be right.
