I recommend the hospital unreservedly. Professionalism, kindness and a sense of humour were generally on show, though of course there were a few who were outstanding. I attended the same hospital as a private patient for the same procedure 14 years ago and it seemed to me that standard of nursing care had improved beyond what was already good. I had wondered whether an NHS patient receives subtly different treatment in a private hospital but did not detect this at all. Own room and TV with Sky Sports (not that I used it) along with good homely food seems like an ideal background to receiving outstanding medical care.
