Had a 12 day stay in hospital encompassing major spinal surgery. I was impressed with the friendliness of the clinicians. The cleaners who are drawn from local population, were very attentive to detail. No stone was left unturned literally. I was very impressed with their cleanliness. if they could have done they would have disinfected me also. The food in my opinion was the equivalent of a good four star hotel. Good variety and sufficient quantities. The wards cater for both sexes. with five bays of four beds of one sex i.e. four males in bay one, four females in bay two etc. I was concerned over use of toilets and showers, but there were no issues. The nursing staff were great, nothing was too much trouble for them. The only fault I found was that the student nurses from North Staffordshire Hospital didn't like getting their hands dirty. Oswestry nursing staff soon educated them in nursing care. A great hospital that I would recommend to anyone who required orthopaedic treatment.
