"Orthopaedics - Ward 35"

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary

Anything else?

After falling off my roadbike, I sustained a fractured neck of femur and fractured wrist. I was taken by ambulance to A&E at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. An orthopaedic opinion was quickly ascertained and I was transferred to Ward 35. Despite the ward being full, I received efficient and sensitive care from the nursing staff at all times. I underwent an operation the following morning to fit 3 pins into my leg. I was kept informed at all times by both the consultant orthopaedic surgeon and consultant anaesthetist who both visited me after the operation on numerous occasions. I was very grateful for the kind and efficient care received from all staff. Thank you.

Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to post such kind comments - we'll ensure we pass onto the relevant staff.
