I visited the Endoscopy Unit at Cheltenham General on 9 October and received fabulous service. Despite being a clearly very busy dept there was little waiting around as all the staff were competent in their tasks and ran a very efficient dept. The nurses were extremely friendly and although this was my third colonoscopy in as many years they explained all aspects thoroughly, gave me choices and made sure I felt comfortable and at ease every step of the way. During the procedure both nurses present looked after me most kindly and my consultant took the time to explain findings to me on the screen which I found so reassuring. Afterwards, the check out procedure was straight-forward and I was on my way again after only 2 hours in the dept! The whole experience made an often daunting task much much easier to cope with.
