"My needs were attended to quite ..."

About: Salford Royal

(as the patient),

What I liked

My needs were attended to quite well by all the Doctors / Nurses on Ward L2

My stay was from 6th March 2008 untill 22nd March 2008

What could be improved

Signs within the wards state, belongings are patients responsibility?

Yet there are no drawers in bedside lockers with a lock to facilitate this?

The one drawer with a lock, I am told medication is stored there, so I assume that's why no key was offered to me!

My spectacles went missing during my stay, I contacted PALS who explained the procedure to make a claim.

I acted on that advice & put a claim in to the Trust Treasurey Accountant on the 8th April 2008

He has not acknowledged receipt of my claim to date 18th April 2008?

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. We are exploring the feasibility of having somewhere for patients to lock their belongings away. Your claim to the treasury accountant has been processed and you should have received correspondence about this – please do let us know if you haven’t.
