What I liked

Altrincham Hospital is convenient to get to by an excellent public transport network. It is three minutes away from Altrincham Metrolink and Altrincham Bus Station. Location is thus a big plus for this hospital and a reason why it must be maintained as a major general hospital. Running down this hospital is a huge mistake. Centralising everything in large hospitals that are poorly served by public transport creates traffic congestion/car parking nightmares.

What could be improved

It should be developed with a full range of services and a full scale casualty unit restored.

Thank you for your comments. We have no plans to reduce services at Altrincham General Hospital and, in the last year, have extended the opening times of the hospital’s Minor Injuries Unit so it is now open every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. It is open 8am-8pm from Monday to Friday and 10am-6pm at weekends and bank holidays.
