"Good service from 111"

I had been in bed for two weeks with chest infection. I have taken two courses of antibiotics.

The day after I finished my second course I felt extremely unwell and called 111 in the evening. I explained my symptoms and the lady who attended the phone thought this had been going on for too long and called an ambulance. The ambulance arrive home within minutes. The ambulance crew was superb.

They ran a number of checks and gave me the choice to either wait until the next morning to go to my GP or taking me to the nearest hospital. As I was in pain, I decided the latter.
