I was admitted for a day case procedure at Leigh Infirmary. I have to say this was the slickest system I have ever seen in place and I have worked within the healthcare sector for over 20 years. I was admitted at 9 am and sat back in my living room at home at 10.30 am - it takes half an hour to get home! I was clerked in, changed, consented by the surgeon, undertook the procedure and recovered before I had time to worry about a thing. The staff are excellent and the team work on the day unit is second to none. Well done; I would recommend you to anyone.
