Anything else?
My mother was admitted to Ward 1 at Grantham & District Hospital on 9th September. Unfortunately after one week her condition rapidly got worse and she was on palliative care until Friday 20th when sadly she passed away. She had excellent care from all staff - Doctors, Nurses, HCAs and housekeeping staff. Their care and compassion was second to none! As a family they were very kind as we sat with her providing us with tea & coffee. On a different note whilst on Dixon Ward at Lincoln County Hospital the previous month the nursing care was appalling. Perhaps ULH should send some of the staff on Dixon Ward to Ward 1 to see care and compassion at it's best. I have worked in the NHS for 34 years and regularly undertake Internal Assurance Team visits in a neighbouring Trust so I'm happy to provide more feedback if required.
