About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

Anything else?

I was admitted into Accident and Emergency last Thursday due to trapped nerves in my Spinal cord causing me pain and numbness down my right side. I was seen immediately By nurses and a doctor who made a thorough assessment before ensuring I was made to feel comfortable whilst running the necessary tests. I was impressed by how the medical Staff were effectively balancing treating patients whilst prioritising patients needs and in a Calm and professional manner on this busy Ward. Staff were efficiently working well together and were friendly and kind to patients. After such a dissapointing birth experience at Leicester General Hospital 6 months ago, whereby most support staff were not only loitering around, but were also quite unnessesarily unplesant, I was happy to come away from Leicester Royal Infirmary feeling that my faith in the NHS has now been restored. Thank you for making me feel comfortable and well again.

Hi Sarah, Thanks for taking the time to post your comment. It is great to hear about your positive experience in our emergency department, and we're glad it has restored your faith in the NHS after your birthing experience at the General. We really appreciate your feedback and it has been passed on to the team in A&E. Kind regards, Rosalind Ward, Communications Officer
