"Excellent Care"

About: Manchester Royal Infirmary

Anything else?

My Aunt was admitted from A&E having been brought in by ambulance from central Manchester. From the moment she arrived, she was treated with care and compassion, staying in MRI for 6 days and also experiencing two other wards during her stay. The staff were, without exception very kind and efficient, reassuring her when it was needed. When I called for updates I was always spoken to with courtesy and given accurate up to date information about her progress. Food was served hot, of ample quantity and variety.

Thank for your comments posted on the Patient Opinion website regarding your aunt's care at the A&E Department on 2nd October 2013. It was very kind of you to write and compliment the staff as it is good to receive positive feedback which reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff. It was reassuring to hear that you thought the Accident and Emergency Department's care and treatment of your aunt was excellent. We can assure you that we have passed on your thoughts to the manager of the Accident and Emergency Department and to the staff involved. Ensuring good nutrition is a high priority for the Trust with the quality of the food we provide audited monthly on our Quality Care Rounds. We work in close partnership with our facilities colleagues in Sodexo to aim to provide the highest quality of food that we can and we are pleased you found this to be the case for your Aunt.
