"When issuing weekend appts to ..."

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary

(as the patient),

What could be improved

When issuing weekend appts to keep waiting lists down, to meet specified targets

it would be advisable to ensure specific medication is in stock in to allow the patient the opportunity to receive the treatment and care promised. After waiting patiently over 1 hour in outpatients I was told that I would not receive my injection,I could return on Monday after collecting the injection but no apology was offered and I was told in the waiting room not even called for consultation this was a waste of appt caused by poor communication and lack of preparation there is little wonder targets are not met .
