Anything else?
I gave birth at the Whittington Hospital 2 months ago and I am extremely dissatisfied with the whole experience. The doctor who assisted the birth was rude and unsympathetic towards me. After 27 hours I gave birth assisted and it was a ventouse delivery. When my baby was born, he could not breath so he was taken to intensive care immediately. I could not hold him, and it was a traumatising experience. They ruined the whole experience for me. I was tearful and the doctor kept asking why I was tearful in a very angry tone. She made me very uncomfortable all the time. By the time I arrived at the hospital my water had already broken, I was diagnosed with GBS and I was told before at the Whittington that they would not wait for long as GBS may be dangerous for the baby and to prevent him getting sick they would take me to the do C-Section if the baby does not come shortly after the water breaks, however they did not do it. I was not treated with dignity and respect, I begged them to take me to theatre to do C-Section but they refused. In the end, I ended up with stitches, my baby ended up in intensive care and we were kept in the hospital because he got infected because I had GBS. It was a horrible experience, we were traumatised. I doubt if they care at all about what they put me to go through. I would never ever recommend anyone to go to Whittington Hospital and I would never go there myself again for birth.
"Horrible experience, they ruined it for me!"
