I fell down some steps on holiday and thought that I had sprained my wrist. When I returned home I visited my GP for reassurance.
She referred me to QEH for an X ray and a scaphoid fracture was diagnosed. A cast was fitted and an appointment made for the fracture clinic, which I visited twice before being referred to Mr Dutta's team who have been treating me until this week when I was discharged. I was also referred for physiotherapy, which I had at my local GP surgery. I have now made a full recovery and would like to thank all the staff who helped me.
I received excellent treatment throughout, from the doctors and nurses in the Urgent Care Centre, the Fracture Clinic, and Mr Dutta's team, from the physiotherapists and from the X-Ray staff.
Everyone I came into contact with was polite, kind and cheerful, which I thought was very impressive as they have to work so hard, often in difficult and challenging situations,
