"Hip-replacement Surgery"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

Anything else?

The admissions nurses and nursing staff were efficient and caring, also the surgeon who operated on my hip was kindness personified, as were theatre staff. However, the food was ghastly, but, I guess this could have been because of budget restrictions. The cleaning staff for 'my ward' deserve a star. I wouldn't mind being a patient here again if it were necessary. And, just to finish off, after-care at Buckland Hospital has been top-notch, too.

Thank you so much for providing us with such kind words, I will ensure staff will see your comments, they will certainly appreciate the feedback. I am sorry that you did not find the food satisfactory. This is really disappointing as we have worked hard with the current catering providing to improve the choice and quality of food, and to provide a range of healthy snacks available at regular times during the day. In general terms we do get better feedback about food quality since the changes have been in place.

It would be really good to talk to you more about your concerns about your meals to see where we need to consider making additional changes. Please do email me on Julie.pearce1@nhs.net

I do hope you continue to recover well, and thanks again for taking the time to feedback
