"Quality of food"

I've just returned home with a FIRST CLASS experience of surgical and nursing care at Wharfedale Hospital. I couldn't rate it more highly.

But the whole experience was spoiled by some of the worst food I have ever had - worse than most airline meals. The omelette was rubbery, and the 'chips' powdery and rock-hard - overfried to a very dark brown, and inedible! Presumably the meal was produced off-site and reheated.

I didn't expect 5* meals - simple, fresh, healthy would do. If only more attention was paid to the QUALITY of the food, there would be very much less wastage. (All 4 patients in my bay left almost of their food.)
