Anything else?
From the time we entered the A&E, we were seen almost immediately by Triage who sent us straight through to X-Ray. After a short wait we were taken in to a cubicle and were told the outcome of the injury in great detail and what the treatment would be. They were very sympathetic and caring towards my young child and explained everything to us both what was happening. Very soon after we were taken to the plaster room and my child was treated as gently as possible to cause the least pain for her. We were then transferred to the ward and within a short while she was taken up to theatre. The theatre staff were also fantastic and let me stay with my child until she was asleep. The nursing staff looked after me whilst she was in theatre until she returned. Unfortunately there was not a reclining chair available for myself but they gave me a comfortable chair, a blanket and a pillow and offered me the parents room to sleep in if I felt I wanted to. I opted to stay with my child. She was looked after all through the night every half hour. In the morning the Dr and the Consultant both visited to discuss what they had done and what would happen next. We were discharged just before lunch, much to my child's disappointment because she wanted a roast dinner! I would like to thank everyone for looking after us so well.
"Very impressed with the service we received by all..."
