my mother is a individual who's dignity and respect was not upheld buy staff whilst on the Prescott Ward due to more than one incident during her recent stay. I am aware that lead staff are under pressure to get people discharged especially on a Friday and the elderly, quoted by a nurse on the ward on the day told me, your mother is not fit to be discharged, however I feel to be lied to by staff regarding her condition to promote a discharge this can only be regarded as shameful and unacceptable. How many more elderly people will be subject to this type treatment and how many patients, families and carers have been in the same boat.
