"NHS Shetland Complaints Department"

About: Gilbert Bain Hospital

(as the patient),

I sent an email to the Physiotherapy Department at the Gilbert Bain Hospital Lerwick and asked " what treatment have I had for pins-needles running down both my arms "? considering I'd been going there for the last three months and getting no benefit from being there. They refused to answer my email so I sent them another and again they refused to answer my email.

So I put in a formal complaint to the NHS Shetland Complaints Department and asked them why the Physiotherapy Department had refused to answer my emails.

NHS Shetland Complaints Department's, honest, un bias and full investigation as to why the Physiotherapy Department refused to answer my email on two accounts were: " I understand that your email of 20th March did not contain any direct questions ".

I am sorry you do not feel the response from either the Physiotherapy Department to your emails or the Complaints Department was what you would have expected.

I am aware that this has been an extended and complicated complaint and if you want to arrange to meet and discuss your concerns I would be happy to do this. If you wish to meet, please contact my office on 01595 743063 to arrange a convenient date and time.
