"The skill and dedication of the staff at the ultrasound clinic saved my baby’s life."

About: ScanAssure Medical Ultrasound

(as the patient),

I was 27 weeks pregnant and I just knew something was not right with my pregnancy but my local hospital did not seem to take me seriously. They where really caring and lovely but just fobbed me off when I asked for a scan just to reassure me and they explained that third trimester scans were not routine. I arranged to go for a scan with this company because they scan at my local GP surgery. They went out of their way to fit me in the same day I rang them because I was distressed and upset. Emma, the sonographer was absolutely brilliant from the moment we entered the clinic room. I was right to worry because she immediately noted that my baby had restricted growth and she calculated that baby was at 23 weeks and not my expected 27 weeks. She also checked on the blood flow in my placenta and noticed it was not working correctly.

The sonographer rang my midwife and explained everything to her and said she was sending me straight to her. The company even arranged to take me to the hospital at no cost. The Consultant delivered my baby straight away who went directly on to special care. He told me that if he not had made the decision to deliver, my baby would have died. I am under no misconception that the skill and dedication of the staff at the ultrasound clinic saved my baby’s life.
