Painful torture that is how I can only describe my treatment. The pain continued 2 times then on 3rd as I was crying by that point the nurse intervened, another dr took over, no pain! since then weeks later i am still suffering did receive an apology to say dr was new 1 week into job... i know all have to learn but listen to patients if they say it hurts stop. Doctors dont be very British and say come along now this wont take a minute, listen to your patient ... I feel damage has been done now that will be with me for a long time, very unhappy

As your comment is posted anonymously, we are unable to investigate your concerns in detail. However we would like to reassure you that a doctor undertaking treatment within the Department would be a qualified doctor not a ‘trainee’ as you state. They would be undergoing further training within the specialty of Ear, Nose and Throat. We would like to apologise for the pain caused by the examination and the anxiety that this has understandably caused.
