Anything else?
I had my first child at Treliske she was delivered by a student midwife early July 2013 labour went really well, until... midwife realised I had a 4th degree tear, so off i went into theatre my midwife came in with me for support which really helped me as I was so scared. The gynecologist who did the surgery was amazing very friendly, gave me lots of info about what was going to happen and came to see me everyday to check on me whilst recovering in hospital. Unfortunately 7 days after being discharged I was back in the delivery suite with signs of a fistula, all the staff again were very supportive and sympathetic to my situation a new mum, 4th degree tear and now this :( After seeing a Colorectal surgeon - Fab doctor I was told I would need to go into theatre for a possible stoma, when I went to surgery 2 Midwife's came with me to surgical ward and a student midwife got scrubbed up and held my hand as I went off to sleep and was still holding my hand as I woke, I don't know how I would have coped without this support. Because of the care and support I have received I feel comfortable and confident with returning to The hospital for My Stoma Reversal in the near future Thank you to all the staff who took care of me, and to those who did that little bit extra Hayley
