About: Nottingham Woodthorpe Hospital

Anything else?

i was admitted as a day patient on 26.09.13 and was very nervous about being given a general anaesthetic and having the procedure due to previous experiences. However, everything went as well as I could possibly have hoped for. I met both my surgeon and anaesthetist before the procedure and the two RGNs who looked after me could not have been kinder or more attentive. The theatre nurse too was lovely and helped to put me at ease. I have had private treatment in the past and not had such good care or facilities. I was given full information about what to expect afterwards and the discharge procedure was comprehensive. It seemed like a joined up process and I felt that I was treated as a person and not a patient or a number.
