What could be improved
The time taken to answer you switch board not an acceptable time, once through I was directed to patient information who transfered me to the ward my friend was supposed to be on only to find she was not there, I was then transfered to andonther Ward not there either!!!! I was then given a direct dial number for another ward and once again not there I fianally found her on the high Depenancy unit, and this was the ward I had been put through to the first time, I find all this to be totally unaceptable. as Chair of Health overview and scrutiny for Rochdale and also a member of the Greater Manchester Scrutiny board I will be taking this up with them
