My wife was admitted to your A and E department at 12 noon on the above date, which happened to be the last day of our weeks holiday in the Cotswolds. She had a problem with a very high heart rate. I would like to express our thanks to the wonderful team of staff who treated her on the A and E area and then on the acute assessment ward. We were both treated with the utmost care and consideration by all staff, nurses and doctors at what was definitely a very busy and challenging time for them. Although we were there for over 7 hours, at no time did we feel we had been forgotten about. Often we are too quick to criticize NHS staff, all we can express is praise for all the fantastic work they do. I have spent many an hour in various A and E departments and from what we experienced your team and the team in acute assessment are some of the very best. Not the best way to spend the last day of your holiday, but at least made bearable by the way we were treated. My wife is now fully recovered. Our kindest regards. Maureen and Rodney.
