"A&E experience after slight accident"

About: The Maidstone Hospital

Anything else?

Last Wednesday, my wife fell off her bike and hurt her left big toe and her right hand side ribcage. She was uncomfortable enough to want to make sure that she hadn't done any serious damage to herself. We presented at A&E at about ten in the morning and saw the triage nurse within ten minutes. Then into the Xray queue, where we had hardly sat down before being called in. Then back to reception to wait for verdict, which turned out to be fracture of toe and bruise to ribs, so no special treatment but go home and rest up for a day or two. After all recent negative news and reports about the NHS and some about Maidstone Hospital, we were fearing a long and unsatisfactory visit. The opposite was the case. Everyone was brilliant and we were in and out before we'd had time to finish our coffee. So, thank you to everyone on duty in the A&E Department. You have one very grateful and satisfied customer
