What could be improved

I work in an average east midlands hospital and visited a family member in machester royal infirmary (MRI). The standards of hygeine between the two hosptials are unbelievable! Wheras i thought the east midlands hosptial looks a bit outdated and all jammed in, its always clean and the floor shines. MRI was disgusting. I was that shocked i actually took photos on my phone to show colleagues. Bins in corridors were overflowing, the lift floor was covered in rubbish - crisp packets and bottles. The walls and the floor looked grubby. There was dirt and grime under my relatives bed. The end of the ward was used as a junk store. It was really disheartning and i would never want to be a patient there.
