Anything else?

Based on the emergency referral by Optician, I attended the LRI Eye Emergency on 13th August 2013. Duly assured and cared by the doctor on the day, I was advised that you will need to see in 4-6 weeks a Ophthalmologist. By then, the eye will improve and then we will decide on next steps. Waited all along, today (27th September), I got an appointment letter with a doctor for Monday30th September at 9am. Just received a telephone call from Diabetic Eye Clinic that my appointment with consultant has been Cancelled. I need to go to Eye OPD for Monday 30th September at 4pm. The hospital has Cancelled my appointment with Consultant who would have otherwise followed next steps. How this happened is beyond my comprehension. I want my eye to be treated not messed around like this.

Hi Sharma, I'm really sorry that your appointment has been cancelled. If you would like to contact me on Kerry.Pape@uhl-tr.nhs.uk, I would be happy to look into this and give you a better explanation of what has happened. Kind regards Kerry Pape Lead Nurse Specialist Surgeries
