"a&e, mau and ward 2"

i became unwell due to two imapcted wisdom teeth and having to wait nearly two months to have them sorted but that is a review for the dentist, however i became unwell and this lead to me becoming ketoacidic as i am type one diabetic and was therefore admitted to a&e after being taken in an ambulance. Firstly the paramedic was a delight and made me feel a lot calmer as i was in a bit of a state and made sure that i was his first concern rather than his paperwork which some have done before so thank you paramedic. Next the a&e department were fantastic they did not judge me for not taking my insulin and made me feel as though they understood that it is not easy when you become unwell with diabetes. they were very attentive and hardly ever left my side and because i was having trouble with my breathing decided i needed constant watching and then did so. After this i was moved to Mau where i was treated with the utmost respect and cared for, nothing was too much trouble for the nurses however they were extremely busy so i did have to wait some time for a drink but this is hardly anything to complain about as the general care from all the nurses was fantastic, I was then moved to ward 2 which was even better, by far the best ward i have been on, the staff however busy where never too busy for the patients and came almost immediately when called and the ward manager was brilliant and he didnt sit in the background he got involved and was great with patients always telling us thats what we are here for and if you need us just ask etc just what us patients need we didnt feel an inconvenience at all and i am very grateful for all the staff on ward 2 as they were all caring considerate and understanding and without them i do believe i would have probably been in hospital a lot longer so thank you
