"NHS angels live at the Friarage!"

About: Friarage Hospital Site

Anything else?

After a horrendous miscarriage I was admitted to the Friarage on Sunday 22nd September with my life basically hanging in the balance after losing so much blood. Unfortunately I cannot remember the names of those people involved in helping me but I know there were many. The male triage nurse I had was amazing and without his quick thinking I doubt I would have had the recovery I have. There are so many I wish to thank, porters, triage team, gynae doctors, surgeons, allerton ward and anybody else I may have forgotten... it feels like an endless list of people, but each one of them is the reason why i'm able to write this now. I owe my life to these wonderful skilled people and cannot thank them enough. Anybody going here will be in very safe hands!

Good afternoon Alison Thank you for your feedback regarding your admission to the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton on 22 September. I appreciate you taking the time to provide positive comments at what must be such a difficult time. I shall certainly forward your kind words to the staff involved in your care and treatment and I am sure they will be equally pleased to read them. It may interest you to know the trust runs a ‘Thank You Award’ scheme where NHS colleagues, patients and relatives can nominate staff in recognition of their work. These are presented throughout the year for acts above the call of duty or where staff have shown exceptional kindness towards patients and their relatives. Please contact the chairman’s office on 01642 854151 or email deborah.jenkins@stees.nhs.uk Alternatively, you may wish to nominate online at www.southtees.nhs.uk/about/awards/. Many thanks again With best wishes Mrs Linda Oliver Patient Experience Co-ordinator
