The hospital is generally very good, with an excellent core of staff although perhaps the premises are somewhat tied in places. Whilst I welcome the trust commitment to refurbish the front entrance, the results of the new entrance can only be described as colossal waste of money.

Hello and thank you for your comment. We are very proud of many of our new refurbished facilities - our Emergency Department, the new theatres we are building, the new Radiotherapy Unit nearing completion, the new endoscopy uinit and 40-bed ward opened last year by HRH Princess Alexander, as well as our new Main Entrance, which sets the tone for our patients and visitors of a modern, clean and progressive hospital. The facilities in the new entrance are also very well recieved by staff and visitors. We are planning to move the car parks around so that the visitors car park will stretch across the whole length of the hospital - this will improve access to the new Main Entrance. We recognise there is still much to do and we continue to look for opportunities to refurbish and improve other areas of teh hospital. Many thanks Eloise Clarke Head of Communications
