"Hip Replacement wait"

I have had my hip replacement cancelled 4 times. since August, last one was to phone ward in morning, but that was cancelled. I do have another date next month.

I have been waiting for op 3/4 yr's..twice I cancelled due to illness & having anotherr op. but, I hadn't heard anything from hospital, so phoned, then had another assessment, so continued waiting to hear from them, nothing.

I had a pre-op assessment last Oct, then nothing, as winter came in, so I thought I wouldn't bother them due to winter being bad, but still didn't hear anything. So this year I phoned them in March didn't hear anything till May to go for MRSA swab, I thought great I'll be in soon. then heard that I will be admitted for OP at the beginning of Aug, couple of days before it was cancelled, but asked if I could come in for about two weeks later, yes great, but had phone call same day to say this was cancelled. Then in conversation on phone was given different dates that had to be cancelled too. So next one will be mid September, thats ok, so phoned back to ask about swab again, was then told That date had been cancelled again. Then gave me another date for a week later, yes they cancelled again, another date given for Oct, , so will wait & see..
