What I liked
Nursing care on surgical assessment unit brilliant on both admissions to hospital.
On Second visit after complications with original condition medical staff were very helpful.
What could be improved
Comparison with ordinary wards and assessment unit was stark, level of care experienced was dramatically different.
Poor communication between medical and nursing staff making me feel insecure and concerned and limited communication from nursing and medical staff to myself - leaving me confused and concerned.
Cleanliness on some wards was poor, and if you get transferred from ward to ward there seems to be a difficulty in ensuring that you will get what you previously ordered on the menu.
More qualifed nursing staff on wards.
