What I liked
The staff on ward F1 are very kind and respectful, even when i`ve seen them dealing with a patient who wants to monopolise their time they have acted with
a caring and helpful attitude.
What could be improved
the following comments are not directed at the Royal Oldham as much as the company that handles the bedside T.V. and telephone. The facillity is just what patients have been waiting for , the ability to communicate with the outside without having to divert the staff from more pressing matters. However, calls to the bedside are premium rate which is fair enough, but to have to listen to 1 min and 18 seconds at said rate to someone who talks slowly about how expensive the call is only to find that the phone is engaged and to have to go through similar attempts repeatedly is a bit much....why cant they start the "clock" after
you`ve been connected to your friend or loved one. I called the provider to get their reaction to this only to be dealt with rudely and after only being offered an email address. or a postal address to complain to.
I asked the supervisor how he felt , working for a firm the makes too much money from the vulnerable ,
