Anything else?
Ok so the next day I was told they would remove my catheter even though I'd told them I'd only just managed to get off the bed and into the chair next to it I wouldn't yet be able to walk to the toilet they still took it out buy nearly 12am I was concerned I hadn't yet been to the loo so spoke to one of the midwives who then looked horrified and said after 6 hours I should have had another fitted! Also on another occasion I pressed my buzzer but no one came in fact during the time it was going off I'd managed to get down the corridor to the desk myself where the night staff where taking over one of them realised the buzzer was going to which point I said dont worry about it it 's from my room and I'm here now! I later heard her In the store room discussing to write the in the incident book! I'd like to point out none of the problems I had were due to the night staff they were all lovely and helpful. The next day I was told I could go home but ended up waiting till after 9pm as my meds/paper work wasn't ready...I was then sent home but had to twice go back up to have a blood clot shot as they wasn't ready for me to take home to do myself. Now at home I became I'll so ended up phoning an ambulance and going to Sandwell a&e which was found I had a water infection no doubt because of the catheter incident also still feeling unwell I was told to phone Russell's hall to speak to a dr where I was basically told becuase I was out of area they wanted nothing to do with me even though I'd had the baby there. I later saw my own gp who changed my pain killers as he said the ones the hospital gave me they have so may side effects all medical staff had been given a letter advising not to give them to patients! I'd never go back to this hospital I'm now considering taking this further I wasn't given the care I should have or the choice of trying a breech birth. I'm now expecting my 5th baby and have booked into Birmingham city hospital there's now way on earth I'd trust the staff here with a vbac delivery!
