About: The James Cook University Hospital

Anything else?

My 2 year old daughter had an appointment with the eye specialist at 10:10am on 24th Sept. We were asked to return to the hospital at 4 to be seen by another specialist who knew more about children. We returned at the time requested. My daughter had drops in her eyes to dilate her eyes, which took 40 minutes to work. After about 1 hour we where not seen by anybody, so we went to find out what was going on. We then discovered that the specialist had gone home, he had forgotten about my 2 year old daughter. One of the nurses aplogised and told us to return the next day 25th at 1:00 pm to follow the appointment up. I got a phone call on the morning of 25th sept to say the specialist was busy and could not see us until the following day 26th sept. Me and my partner still have no idea what the matter is with our daughters eye and how the problem is going to solved. Its disgusting the way me, my partner and my daughter have been treated.
