"My Bilateral Amputation."

About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital

Anything else?

On the 26/04/2013 I was admitted to CDH Leyland Ward, I was there to have both my legs amputated and I was so scared, and all of the staff from cleaners the heads & all the nurses + sisters help me. After the operation I was taken to ICU for a week fantastic care from all the ICU team. After spending a week in ICU I was moved back to Leyland Ward I was on that ward nearly 5 months having treatmen, I was so lucky to have been on that ward there wasn't one member of staff in 5 months that gave me cause to complain. To all the Staff on Leyland Ward & ICU I salute you. Thank you for your care and commitment. Graham Upton.

Thanks for your comments. Hearing about positive experiences really motivates our staff, and helps us identify where we’re getting things right so we can share good practice across all of our services.
