Although I had an initial consultation that was fraught with misunderstanding the subsequent treatment was absolutely excellent. The consultant was reassuring and his confident manner was balm for any anxiety. The clinic was scrupulously clean and the staff charming (though slightly worrying insofar as both nurse and anaesthetist suggested the wrong eye was to be treated when I re-attended following the first procedure). Two points for improvement perhaps: 1. Do all patients need to be called for the same time when this involves some left waiting for up to four hours 2.Perhaps a slightly more courteous way of calling patients from the waiting area might be found. Shouting out a list of names before marching attendees off in a crocodile might be discouraged and a more customer friendly style be adopted. The clinical care however was absolutely wonderful. The consultant's manner and professional excellence are to be treasured.
