I have no complaints about my care from the time that I was taken by ambulance till my discharge some days later. Doctors and nursing staff were excellent, despite building work being carried out in the kitchens most of my meals were fine.
The one issue that I feel could have been handled better was a surprise move, where just after I had started my evening meal two nurses descended on me proceeded to take my stuff from my locker informing me that I was being moved. Now I can understand the pressure for beds but at this time I was under the impression that I was scheduled for a pacemaker in the next few days.
I ended up spending the night in a day surgery ward with no explanation or information. Also in the morning I was not told if I could eat if I was due a procedure on that day or what was going to happen. I was told I could eat later and the ward staff were able to get me some breakfast but being a day ward it wasn't on the scheduled kitchen round.
It was not until early afternoon that I was visited by a cardiologist who explained in very understandable terms my immediate and future treatment which at this time did not require the pacemaker. I would have felt much better and would have had a less stressful night had I have been spoken to on the previous evening not the whole story but a better explanation than your being moved.
