"Treatment of a 2 1/2 year old with severe epilipsy"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

Anything else?

My Great grandson has been admitted to this hospital nearly every week for the last few months. They have also transferred him to GOSH. Today the 23rd Sept 2013 after being admitted once again my granddaughter was told by a Consultant it would be better if she went private because "it's not fair on none of us going all this". My granddaughter is a one parent family with also a 5 year old. She is told she has to stay at the hospital 24 hours a day she gets no help from her mother and the 5 year old is looked after from one friend to another. How on earth is she supposed to raise enough money to pay for Private Care? The NHS is certainly doing anything to help her child or anybody come to that, its rubbish. This Hospital has been named and shamed by yourselves and should be sorted. Pauline Nixon (Grandmother)

I am extremely concerned to hear your comments. I would be grateful if you could contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01708 435454 or email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk with further information so that we can investigate this for you. Yours sincerely, Dr Mike Gill Medical Director
