"They saved my life!"

About: The Princess Royal Hospital (Telford)

Anything else?

Spent two weeks inside, yes its a hospital not prison but I treated it like a prison and was so deluded I kept trying to escape even pulling out my caviiter and the tube I had stuck down my stomach at one point phoning my sister to collect me outside, I was in a bad state but as the title says they saved my life, I puked up over the prettiest nurse in the building. (My fondest moment) . Got told of by a male nurse for having a FHM magazine. Managed to persuade the sister to give me sleeping pills on the condition I stopped overdosing on my Morphine drip. Fun times and at only one point was I annoyed. When one nurse was really horrible to me when I had been up all night and asked for a glass of water and she told me she was to busy.

Thank you so much for sharing this. It is really heartening so hear that even through some tough times you felt that the team saved your life. I am sorry to hear that the nurse said they were too busy to help you with a glass of water, and also sorry to hear about the poor nurse who got puked on - the thrills and spills of working in a hospital. It might seem weird to say, but sometimes these moments are the ones that remind us what a great privilege it is to be there for people at times of great vulnerability and anxiety, sharing experiences that often people don't share with their closest family. Thank you for taking the time to contact us, and all the best for the future.
