About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Staff were overloaded with people waiting to be seen by doctors.

I was told that people had been waiting for 4 to 6 hours to see a doctor. Why is there a not enough doctors for this department?

I am going to contact my local m. p. and get a few more people to support me, to make sure it is taken to the top. I felt so sorry for people in pain and worse medical problems than myself.

I was still there for 2 and plus hours. Everybody talks about this big problem why? Its time something was done either the extension of hospital, or another hospital to take the overload, or something done about this

So its up to people like myself to make this bad situation get resolved.

Thank you for providing feedback on your experience, please do accept our apologies for your wait to be seen. I am afraid that we have seen a large increase in the number of patients coming to our A&E department later in the day. We are working with the clinical commissioning group and the ambulance service to try to understand why the numbers are increasing.

May I assure you that we are doing our best to keep up with the demand. Thank you again for taking time to voice your concern.
