"contacting the hospital"

About: Leicester General Hospital

Anything else?

My cousin has just had a hip replacement and I wanted to phone the hospital to find out how she was as I live in Dorset and she has no way of contacting me. I went onto their website to find they only had a skype number and I am a B.T. customer and pay out a monthly fee to get all my calls free so am not prepared to pay for skype this seems a very prejudice form of contact as not everyone even uses a computer I believe that is needed to have skype I have sent an email and am waiting for a reply.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments about Leicester General Hospital. We are incredibly sorry that you had trouble contacting your cousin. The ward does not only have Skype numbers and we are sorry that you did not manage to find the correct number to speak to her from our website. In future, you can call the Switchboard on 0300 303 1573 (local rate number) and ask to be transferred to the correct ward. We realise some time has passed since you posted your comment and we would like to sincerely apologise that we did respond to in a timely manner. We have since updated our process of responding to reviews posted on NHS Choices and are now committed to making sure we respond to comments within 21 days of the date they are posted. Thank you Communications Team Leicester’s Hospitals
