"Endosopy review"

About: Leighton Hospital

Anything else?

Today 18th September I went to have an endosopy at the Treatment Centre. I was very scared as last time I had one done it was a bad experience! Well I need not have worried the nurses were fantastic and put me at ease straight away. I didn't wait long. The nurse took me in a room and sorted out the paper work. Then she put the canular in my arm didn't feel that. Then off I went to have endosopy. The nurses and the doctor were very reasurring. I was scared I would be wake but no, soon as the doc put the sedation in my arm I fell asleep and next I woke up in the recovery room. I would recommend the sedation to anyone who's worried you don't feel a thing!! I would like to thank all the nurses and the doctor who cared for me! I think Leighton Hospital is fantastic!!

It is always fantastic to receive really good positive feedback and I will ensure that the members of my team and those in the ward / admission areas are aware of these comments. We really value patient / carer / relative comments as this helps us to improve our service and meet the needs of our patients. Thank you so much for taking the time to post your comments about the care you received, which will hopefully reassure other patients undergoing the same procedure. With best wishes, Tracy Falkland, Endoscopy Lead Nurse & Unit manager
