"Wifi, or lack of, while a patient"

About: Hereford County Hospital / Cardiology

(as a relative),

Second stay in Arrow ward which I found to look very clean throughout, beds when becoming vacant are thoroughly cleaned and washed down, curtains are changed, floors washed and everything wiped down regularly.

Sometimes sadly noticeably understaffed, can't blame the nurses delays, when they have so many demands.

One huge complaint which should be rectified as soon as possible is to allow patients access to the hospital wifi which is visible but not accessible to patients. Every modern hospital I have visited has wifi readily available to patients, without having to pay the extortionate costs of 25 pounds for 5 days of very very prehistoric internet access to a private company.

Just as the parking is, paying a private company ridiculous amounts, taking advantage of the sick! Disgrace. Please Hereford County Hospital, rectify this wifi issue.

It gives patients the communication they are missing with their families and friends!

On behalf of the Wye Valley NHS Trust thank you for your comments with regard to your recent stay on Arrow Ward. I will forward these on to the Sister of the Ward in order that she can share with her staff. I have made enquires with respect to the wifi issue and I have been informed that it is something that the Trust is looking into and hopefully will have in operation in the very near future.
